Wipro profit at Rs 2544 cr in Q3, 31% growth
IT services company Wipro recorded a consolidated profit of Rs 2,544.5 crore, with an increase of 31.8 percent during the October-December, 2018 quarter. According to the filing given in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Wipro has also approved the issue of bonus shares. Under this, a bonus share will be given on every three shares of Wipro (Wipro). The company's profit during the October-December, 2017 quarter was Rs 1,930.10 crore in the same period a year ago.
Revenue of 14555 crores
Wipro CEO and Executive Director Abid Ali Z Neemuchwala said, "With the help of strategic investment, this quarter has been satisfactory for us from enterprise modernization and digital transformation." There have been gradual revenues increase from the IT Services Segment of the company during the quarter ended December, But it increased by 1.8 percent to Rs 14,555 crore, which is $ 204.65 million.
The company will issue bonus shares in the ratio 1: 3
Wipro is expected to remain between $ 204.8 million and $ 208.8 million from the IT services business in the March quarter, which could be 2 percent higher on a sequential basis. Filing said, 'Bonus equity share will be released in the proportion of 1: 3. This means that a bonus equity share of 2 rupees will be given for the three full-fledged paid-up equity shares. BSNL is launching 35 Gb daily data plan
BSNL has launched a new broadband plan, which has been introduced for both new and old customers. According to the plan, customers are given data benefit of just 2.18 per GB rate. The price of this new plan is Rs 2,295 and it is being given 35 GB data daily with speed of 24Mbps. After the 35 GB data limit is over, the user can run the internet with the speed of 2Mbps. The main feature of this plan is that it includes Unlimited Local and STD Calling. The plan is present in all circles except Andaman and Nicobar.
This new 35Gb plan of BSNL comes at the price of Rs 2,295 per month. But, customers can get discounts on their annual payment. For this, customers will have to do a payment of Rs 22,950, which is a total of 10 months' fee. Customers can get two months free on payment of one year at a time. Not only this, but the company is also offering two and three yearly payment options. Under which customers will have to pay Rs. 43,605 and Rs. 64,260 respectively.
BSNL is providing unlimited downloads and uploads in the new plan. Apart from this, an email ID is also being provided free of charge in the plan with the customer 1 GB of storage. On the written application, BSNL is also giving Static IP address at a rate of Rs 1,800 per year.
This plan directly indicates that the company is gearing up for the launch of Reliance Geo GigaFiB. It is reported that under the launch offer of Geo Broadband Service, customers will get 100 GB data per day.
